I got this for my daughter, a friend had mentioned it. I read thru it and It is easy, fun to read, makes you think, does not take weeks to complete, (just three days). After all the holiday craziness, she is looking forward to reading and completing exersises.
This book is a reflective and intuitive way of deciding what your passions are and how to pursue them in college. It begins with the premise that selecting a major begins by honestly assessing your strengths and your interests and finding the sweet spot in-between. The accompanying exercises are a must and even though I am long past my college days, I also found value in doing them to see if I am in the perfect career...
I appreciated the combination of advice, quotes by relevant experts and stories about Uncle Greg's own interesting journey. This book is written with humor and honesty. I would recommend it for all college-bound students.
This book and accompanying 3 day exercise in self discovery would be a valuable tool for most folks entering college or those who have been there a while and feel disconnected in their quest of a successful future.
The format is very user friendly. The exercises are straight forward and if implemented, yields invaluable information.
I plan to include this book on my "must give" list of gifts to the young people, I sometimes counsel. i hope to see it available on college campuses, in the near future!
